Ramallah Rose (زهرة رام الله) is inspired by traditional embroidery from the Ramallah (رام الله) region in Palestine. Ram Allah translates from Arabic to mean “hill of God,” which is appropriate for this mountainous village known for its stone homes, olive trees, and summer breezes. The village was named because the people felt that God had led them there and given them good fertile land.

The vibrant embroidery of the Ramallah region in Palestine is renowned for its distinctive use of red and black threads. The red dye was created utilizing indigenous flora such as Indian madder and fauna like kermes and cochineal insects.
